As our business continues to grow, so does our national fleet. We’re looking for an experienced National Fleet Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day operations of our expanding transport fleet, ensuring our drivers, vehicles and delivery schedules operate safely, efficiently and compliantly.
Based at our Brisbane Distribution Centre in Brendale, this is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands transport operations, knows how to manage drivers and assets, and is always looking for ways to improve performance.

Reporting to the General Manager – Fleet, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day operation of our growing national fleet.
Our fleet currently consists of approximately 12 assets and 15 drivers, with growth expected to reach around 18 assets by the end of the year.
You’ll be responsible for:

Managing the day-to-day operations of the national fleet and driver workforce
- Coordinating delivery schedules in partnership with the National Compliance and Maintenance Manager
- Taking a proactive approach to driver fatigue management and transport compliance
- Monitoring fleet utilisation and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency
- Managing the booking and coordination of rental fleet assets and labour hire
- Recording, monitoring and reporting demurrage incurred across Distribution Centres and stores
- Managing fuel cards and reviewing fleet-related invoices from suppliers, manufacturers and mechanics
- Supporting recruitment by interviewing and assessing driver candidates
- Maintaining strong communication with drivers, Distribution Centres and other key stakeholders
- Identifying operational pain points and developing practical improvement plans
- Supporting the continued expansion of the fleet while maintaining safety, compliance and operational standards
- Building strong relationships across the business to ensure transport requirements are delivered effectively
- You have solid experience in fleet, transport, logistics or distribution operations
- You have experience managing drivers and commercial fleet assets
- You understand driver fatigue management, transport compliance and safety requirements
- You’re comfortable managing a fast-paced and expanding operation
- You’re highly organised and confident coordinating competing delivery priorities
- You understand fleet costs and can effectively manage suppliers, invoices, fuel expenditure and rental assets
- You’re confident working with operational data and identifying areas for improvement
- You can build strong relationships with drivers while maintaining accountability and performance expectations
- You’re a practical problem-solver who gets on the front foot rather than waiting for issues to escalate
- You have strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- You enjoy developing processes and finding smarter, more efficient ways of working
