About the Project
This role supports the delivery of critical transport infrastructure as part of the Rockhampton Ring Road Project, a major investment in regional Queensland’s road network. The project forms a key component of the Bruce Highway upgrades, designed to improve freight efficiency, safety, and flood resilience by providing a bypass of Rockhampton for through‑traffic. Delivered in a complex civil construction environment, the project involves large‑scale earthworks, bridge structures, and roadworks, and operates under stringent safety, environmental, and quality standards to support long‑term regional connectivity and economic growth.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced
Site Engineer to join our project team. Reporting to the Project Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of civil construction works. This role will see you take ownership of site-based engineering activities and contribute to achieving project objectives across safety, quality, cost, and programme.
Key accountabilities

Oversee and coordinate site activities to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project timelines

Manage the planning and execution of construction works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and methodologies

Take ownership of the delivery of retaining wall structures, ensuring quality, constructability, and compliance with design requirements

Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to achieve programme and productivity targets

Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and environmental standards across all site activities

Contribute to project controls, including progress tracking, cost management, and programme reporting

Maintain accurate project documentation, including QA records, inspections, and as-built data
Required Skills and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience Required

Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
-
Experience working as a Site Engineer on civil infrastructure projects

Sound understanding of construction methodologies and site controls

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
-
Strong communication skills with a proactive, team-focused approach
