Occupational Therapist Opportunity — Wollongong / Illawarra / Shellharbour Region
Due to the continued growth of Evolving Mind Body & Soul across the Wollongong, Illawarra, and Shellharbour areas, we are incredibly grateful to now be able to open another opportunity for a part-time or full-time Occupational Therapist to join our growing team.
As our practice continues to expand, we are looking for the right aligned therapist who is passionate about mental health, emotional wellbeing, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
At Evolving Mind Body & Soul, we do things differently.
We are not a high-pressure clinic focused purely on KPIs, productivity targets, and ticking boxes. We are a values-led practice grounded in human connection, nervous system-informed care, empowerment, emotional wellbeing, and meaningful contribution.
We believe people deserve to feel seen, heard, safe, supported and empowered in their healing journey.
And we believe the same should apply to the therapists within our team too.
About Us
Evolving Mind Body & Soul is a boutique mental health and wellbeing practice supporting children, young people, adults, and families experiencing psychosocial, emotional, behavioural, sensory, and social challenges.
Our work integrates:
- evidence-based practice
- holistic and nervous system-informed approaches
- emotional wellbeing and regulation
- person-centred support
- lived experience, compassion, and connection
We deeply value authenticity, collaboration, growth, conscious contribution, and creating a positive impact within the lives of others.
We are building more than a service.
We are building a community and culture centred around healing, empowerment, connection, and meaningful change.
About The Role
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist who is compassionate, emotionally intelligent, grounded, and aligned with supporting people in a deeply human and empowering way that can be present in helping us serve the local community and continue to support the business to grow.
This role involves working with children, young people, adults, and families across community settings, providing practical, personalised, and meaningful support that genuinely improves day-to-day life.
This position offers:
- flexibility and autonomy
- work-from-home and telehealth opportunities
- strong team connection and mentorship
- opportunities for growth and contribution
- a supportive and values-aligned workplace culture
This is not a role where you are expected to simply “see clients and write reports.”
We are looking for someone who wants to:
- think critically
- contribute ideas
- continue growing personally and professionally
- and be part of a team creating meaningful change within the mental health and wellbeing space
Who We’re Looking For
This role will suit someone who:
- Genuinely cares about the people they support
- Values connection, empowerment, and authentic communication
- Is organised, reliable, and able to work independently
- Takes ownership and follows things through
- Is emotionally aware, adaptable, and grounded
- Wants to continue learning, evolving, and refining their practice
- Believes healing and wellbeing should be individualised and person-centred
- Wants their work to have real impact and meaning
If you are someone who:
values both evidence-based practice and human connection
believes there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to healing
and wants to be part of a supportive, evolving, and purpose-driven practice…
…this may be the role you’ve been searching for.
Essential Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent)
- Full AHPRA registration
- Minimum 2 years experience in mental health or similar setting (or strong relevant experience)

What We Value
Our team is built on:
- conscious contribution to others
- honest and respectful communication
- collaboration over competition
- personal and professional growth
- empowerment and responsibility
- kindness, connection, and integrity
We believe meaningful work comes from alignment — not simply productivity.
We also believe therapists deserve flexibility, support, balance, and an environment where they feel genuinely valued as human beings, not just employees.
Why Join Evolving Mind Body & Soul?
- Flexible working arrangements
- Above-award pay, super, and travel reimbursement
- Professional development and mentorship opportunities
- Telehealth and work-from-home flexibility
- A family-friendly and supportive environment
