Naza Connect Care specialises in supporting vulnerable young people aged 16 to 24 in our semi-independent support homes. We aim to teach young people in our care skills that will increase their confidence and ability to eventually live independently and build a firm foundation for their lives.
We are currently expanding out team and are seeking committed individuals with a passion for working with young people and empowering them to achieve their goals and aspirations in a consultative and caring way.

Principle duties & responsibilities
SLEEPING IN NIGHT SHIFT, 1 day, 2 day, 3 days or 4 days on shift available with sleeping duties
From our Youth support Workers we are looking for someone who can
- manage a caseload of 6 young people and preempt their support needs
- support vulnerable young people and effectively deal with challenging behaviour from young people.
- Someone that can create a positive homely environment where the young people feel cared for and supported with their needs
- keep daily accurate records as a basis for regular monitoring and tracking progress of young adults. This will be achieved via log entries as well as other monitoring document
- Prepare detailed high-quality weekly/monthly progress reports regarding each young person’s progress which is submitted to the placing authority within deadlines.
- To adhere to identified plans of support including risk assessments.
- To complete the ‘support session’ document when work has been undertaken or observed with residents in a variety of situations/circumstances i.e further education, training providers, potential employers.
- To act as an advocate for young adults in a variety of situations/circumstances.
- Ability to motivate individual or groups of young adults to take part in social and leisure activities, enabling them to develop personal and social skills.
- Ability to deal with difficult, demanding and stressful situations appropriately and objectively.
- To manage own time and tasks effectively i.e. complete all required tasks for each shift, including the daily tasks, weekly and monthly tasks and health & safety checks.
- Ensure all residents files are well maintained i.e. returning items to the correct sections and comply with GDPR.
- Ensure the cleaning duties of the day are carried out to a good standard.
- To follow Policy and Procedure/Employee Handbook without deviation i.e. contact management in timescales outlines regarding sickness.
Salary & hours
Shift pattern:
sleeping in shifts Sunday to Wednesday
8am till 11pm then sleep-in (with breaks in between)
£12,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
Locations: any of our homes within the Redbridge Borough

Candidates must have the following
- commit to sleep-in night shifts
- Proficient administrative skills
- Excellent Communication skills both verbal and written
- Aged 22+ due to nature of client group
- MUST have valid enhanced DBS & Available for immediate start
- MUST HAVE minimum level 3 social care qualification
- MUST HAVE experience of working with young people / challenging behaviour
- Must be able to drive or committed to learning
Desired skills & experience include:
- An understanding of the social, cultural, physical and emotional issues of young adults, especially those with challenging behaviour
