️ The Role
As an Orikan Parking Officer, you'll play an important role in supporting parking compliance and promoting a positive campus experience.
Responsibilities include:
Patrolling designated areas to monitor parking compliance
Issuing infringement notices in accordance with South Australian Road rules and University by-laws
Providing information and guidance to students, staff and visitors regarding parking requirements
Maintaining accurate records and enforcement logs
Reporting hazards, incidents and public safety concerns
Representing Orikan and the University with professionalism, integrity and respect
Skills and Experiences:
What We're Looking For
We're seeking reliable and self-motivated individuals who can balance customer service with confidence and professionalism.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A fair and respectful approach when interacting with the public
Strong technology skills and confidence using mobile devices, apps and digital systems in a fast-paced field environment
Resilience and confidence in challenging situations
Excellent time management and attention to detail
Basic computer skills and accurate record-keeping
A willingness to work independently outdoors in various weather conditions
Current driver's licence (preferred, depending on operational requirements)
Customer service, security or compliance experience is advantageous but not essential
Hours & Flexibility
This casual opportunity is ideal for early risers and those seeking flexible work.
Monday to Friday shifts typically commencing at 6:30am, finishing between 11:30am and 12:30pm
Availability to work weekends when required
Additional shifts may become available during peak periods
Weekend and applicable shift allowances apply
