About the role:
This is a varied and fast-paced administrative role within a healthcare environment, with most communication occurring via phone and email rather than face-to-face interactions. You will play a key role in coordinating patient care, supporting clinicians, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate professionally with patients, residential aged care facilities, next of kin, and healthcare providers (primarily via phone and email)
- Manage clinician diaries, schedule appointments, and confirm bookings via phone, SMS, and email
- Maintain accurate electronic patient records, including scanning and uploading referrals, audiograms, and documentation
- Prepare and distribute reports and correspondence to aged care facilities and stakeholders
- Process Medicare and funding claims, maintain records, and assist with invoice follow-up
- Coordinate hearing aid orders, fittings, repairs, and warranty processes
- Manage stock levels of hearing aids, batteries, moulds, and clinical supplies
- Order office supplies and support general inventory management
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to clinicians and the wider team
