Why this role?
KONE is looking for a proactive and safety-focused Site Manager to join our Modernisation team based in Sydney .
Reporting directly to the Delivery Operations Manager, you will work closely alongside a dedicated Project Manager to successfully deliver elevator and escalator upgrade projects across Sydney and surrounding areas.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for coordinating site activities, managing subcontractors, enforcing KONE's installation and safety processes, and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest quality standards.
What will you be doing?
Overseeing the site delivery of elevator and escalator modernisation projects.
Working in partnership with the Project Manager to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within scope.
Managing and coordinating subcontractors on-site while ensuring compliance with KONE's installation and safety procedures.
Driving a strong safety culture and ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with KONE policies and industry regulations
Planning and organising labour, materials, tools, equipment, and site logistics.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, consultants, builders, and other key stakeholders.
Monitoring installation quality and resolving site-related issues proactively.
Managing performance, promoting continuous improvement initiatives, and helping develop best-practice site processes.
Are you the one?
3–5 years' experience in construction, building services or related industry
Experience in the elevator / escalator industry preferred but not required
A strong understanding of site-based project delivery and contractor management.
Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors and enforcing safety and installation standards.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to confidently engage customers, consultants, and site teams.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Relevant trade, construction, engineering, or project management qualifications will be highly regarded
Flexibility to occasionally work night shifts as required by project and customer needs.
