Tea Tree Gully Corps, Modbury SA
Hybrid flexible working arrangements (minimum two days in the office)
When someone reaches out in a moment of crisis, your voice may be the first calm moment they’ve had all day. As an Emergency Relief Worker, you’ll support people experiencing financial stress, emotional overwhelm and, at times, acute distress. Every call is an opportunity to listen deeply, steady someone who feels lost, and help them feel safe and supported again. Your work restores dignity, strengthens wellbeing and brings hope into situations that can feel incredibly heavy for the people reaching out.
This role is fully phone‑based, providing emergency relief assessments, triage and support to community members with a wide range of presenting needs. You will speak with people experiencing financial hardship, housing instability, family and domestic violence, and at times, suicidal ideation. You’ll determine appropriate emergency relief assistance, provide referrals, and ensure callers are connected with the right supports quickly and safely.
Based at Tea Tree Gully Corps in Modbury SA, this permanent full-time role offers hybrid flexible working arrangements, with a minimum of two days per week in the office. Pay is in accordance with SCHADS Level 3.1.
