DKO is an award-winning design practice with studios across Australia, New Zealand and South-East Asia. Our multidisciplinary approach brings together Architecture, Interior Design, Urban Design and Landscape Architecture to create exceptional places and communities.
As our Brisbane studio continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Project Architect to take a leading role in the delivery of high-quality projects and support the ongoing development of our team.
As a Project Architect, you will provide leadership throughout the project lifecycle, taking responsibility for project coordination, quality assurance, client communication and team management. You’ll work closely with Directors and project teams to deliver innovative design outcomes from concept through to construction.
- Lead projects through all phases, from concept design to construction administration.
- Manage project teams, workflows, resources and delivery programs.
- Prepare and oversee high-quality architectural documentation.
- Coordinate consultants, clients and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain quality control throughout design and construction phases.
- Conduct site visits and monitor project outcomes against design intent.
- Mentor and develop junior team members.
- Build and maintain strong client and industry relationships.
- Contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the Brisbane studio.
- A registered Architect in Australia.
- Experienced in leading and delivering architectural projects.
- Skilled across design, documentation and construction phases.
- Confident managing project teams and mentoring staff.
- Strong in client communication and stakeholder management.
- Solutions-focused, collaborative and proactive.
- Passionate about design excellence and continuous improvement.
- Architectural registration with the relevant Australian registration board.
- Approximately 5–7+ years’ experience within an architectural practice.
- Strong technical documentation and project coordination skills.
- Sound knowledge of Australian planning and building regulations.
- Experience working across schematic design, design development, construction documentation and contract administration.
- Proficiency in industry-standard architectural software.
- Work on diverse and design-focused projects alongside a talented multidisciplinary team.
