Westbourne Grammar School is seeking an exceptional educational leader to shape one of Australia's most significant and innovative Middle School programs.
A key executive leadership role, the Head of Middle School leads a thriving community of staff and approximately 800 students across Years 5 to 8, with responsibility for fostering a culture where high expectations, strong relationships and operational excellence deliver outstanding outcomes for young people.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Deputy Principal - Head of Truganina Campus, you will:
- Support key Middle School leaders in overseeing student learning, cocurricular, wellbeing and pastoral care across Years 5 to 8, ensuring a coherent and consistent approach aligned with the school’s strategic vision and values.
- Build and sustain a Middle School culture where high expectations, open communication, excellent conduct and strong relationships are explicit and upheld.
- Strengthen professional practice by coaching and developing middle leaders and staff through evidence-based feedback and agreed whole-school practices.
- Be accountable for the daily operations of the Middle School, including routines, transitions, supervision, attendance, communication, events and the effective and efficient management of the precinct.
- Partner with families and colleagues across the school to support student growth, belonging and success.
