As a Provisional Fellow in Vascular Surgery the primary purpose of the role is to provide effective clinical management of vascular surgical patients, under appropriate supervision, whilst developing expertise in medical practice, in a complex clinical environment.
The Vascular Surgery department at St George Public Hospital provides a comprehensive vascular and endovascular surgical service. Trainees are exposed to both inpatient and outpatient management of vascular conditions. The Department consists of 4 consultant staff, 1 fellow, 2 accredited vascular SET trainees, 1 unaccredited registrar and 1 intern.
The primary location of the position will be St George Public Hospital however you may also be expected to work at St George Private Hospital and Sutherland Hospital.

- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
- Fellowship of RACS or equivalent specialist recognition or be eligible for fellowship within 12 months of the commencement of the position
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching with experience in teaching both undergraduate and post graduate students and other staff of the hospital
- Demonstrates ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills and judgment and expertise
- A professional attitude and flexibility in work role with a preparedness and ability to participate in after-hours overtime and on-call rosters.
- Demonstrates teamwork, time management and problem solving skills as part of a multidisciplinary team.
