About Us
We are a growing fabrication and welding business specialising in structural steel, custom fabrication, repairs, and on-site installation work. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Metal Fabricator to join our team.
The Role
As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for interpreting drawings, fabricating steel components, welding, assembly, and assisting with installation projects. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and can work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication of steel and metal products from workshop drawings
- MIG, TIG and Stick welding as required
- Cutting, grinding, drilling and assembling steel components
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans
- Operating fabrication equipment and machinery safely
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Assisting with site installations and repairs when required
Skills & Experience
- Trade qualification in Metal Fabrication, Boilermaking, or similar (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years fabrication and welding experience
- Ability to read and interpret workshop drawings
- Strong welding and fabrication skills
- Current driver's license and vehicle
- Forklift ticket (advantageous but not essential)
- White Card
