Our food style focuses on fresh local produce, coastal influences, Mediterranean notes, and dishes designed to be shared. With a solid team in place, strong systems, and a supportive management structure, Rocker is well-positioned for growth as we head into summer.
We are now seeking a talented and motivated Chef to support the kitchen team and help elevate our offering. This role focuses on delivering high-quality food, consistency, and creativity while working within a supportive management structure that values professionalism, trust, and stability.
About the Role
Overseeing prep, service, pass, workflow and quality control
Helping the kitchen team
Developing, designing, and executing innovative, seasonal menus that reflect the best of local produce and contemporary dining trends.
Maintaining consistency, quality, and presentation across all dishes while leading a skilled kitchen team.
Recipe costing, GP targets, budgeting and responsible COGS management
Ordering, supplier relationships, stock rotation and inventory management
Maintaining high standards in food safety, HACCP, WHS and compliance
Working closely with FOH to deliver a consistent, guest-focused dining experience
Driving consistency and efficiency across the kitchen
About You 3+ years’ experience as a Chef in reputable, high-volume venues
Strong background in modern Australian, Mediterranean or coastal cuisine
Confident leading service during busy periods and maintaining high standards
Calm, organised and collaborative leadership style
Passion for fresh, seasonal and quality-driven cooking
