We're seeking an experienced Work Health & Safety Advisor ready to step into a Senior WHS Advisor role and play a key part in supporting our growing portfolio of mining operations across Western Australia.
This is an excellent opportunity for a safety professional with a strong mining background who is looking to expand their influence, partner closely with operational leaders, and take ownership of safety outcomes across multiple sites. While the role provides exposure to civil construction and infrastructure projects, its primary focus is supporting mining operations and ensuring alignment with mine-site regulatory requirements and industry best practice.

Reporting to the WHS Manager, you will provide expert safety advice and support across multiple mining operations, helping leaders build safe, compliant and high-performing workplaces.
This role requires a practical and influential WHS professional who understands the realities of mining operations and can effectively balance regulatory requirements with operational priorities.
You will play a key role in strengthening safety systems, supporting critical risk management, leading investigations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives aligned with mining industry expectations and legislative obligations.
- Provide expert WHS advice and support to Mine Managers, Supervisors and operational leaders
- Partner with site leadership teams to improve safety performance and risk management outcomes
- Lead ICAM investigations and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented
- Facilitate risk assessments, hazard management and critical risk reviews
- Conduct site audits, inspections and compliance activities
- Support the ongoing development and improvement of WHS management systems
- Monitor compliance with WHS legislation, mining regulations and company standards
- Analyse safety performance data and prepare meaningful reports and recommendations
- Support injury management and return-to-work programs
- Coach leaders to strengthen safety leadership capability and accountability
- Promote proactive safety behaviours and a positive reporting culture
- Utilise MYOSH and other safety management systems to support safety performance
- Travel to operational sites approximately once per month
You are an experienced WHS professional with a strong background in mining and a passion for supporting safe, productive operations.
You understand mine-site risk profiles, critical controls and regulatory expectations, and have the confidence to engage with leaders at all levels to drive positive safety outcomes.

- Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety
- ICAM Lead Investigator qualification
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a WHS role within mining or resources operations
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and mining regulatory requirements
- Experience supporting mine-site safety management systems and compliance programs
- Demonstrated experience in critical risk management and incident investigation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong report writing and Microsoft Office capabilities
- Ability to work autonomously and influence across multiple operational sites
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Experience with contractor management systems
- Exposure to civil construction or infrastructure projects
- Behavioural safety and safety leadership program experience
