GD Building Supplies is a fast-growing supplier of tiling, waterproofing, flooring preparation and construction materials across South East Queensland. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Shop Manager to lead our new Biggera Waters store.
This is a hands-on leadership role combining customer service, warehouse management, inventory control and sales follow-up responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily store and warehouse operations
- Lead and support warehouse and sales staff
- Perform stock control, stock ordering and inventory management
- Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP and warehouse systems
- Operate forklifts and high reach equipment safely
- Serve trade and retail customers professionally
- Follow up customer enquiries and existing customers by phone
- Maintain CRM records and conduct outbound customer calls
- Ensure efficient loading, unloading and warehouse organisation
- Coordinate deliveries and logistics activities
- Maintain a clean, safe and productive workplace
- Assist other branches when required, including occasional work at our Yatala store
Essential Requirements
- Current Forklift Licence
- High Reach Forklift experience
- Ability to consistently start work at 6:00am
- Own reliable vehicle and driver's licence
- Reliable, stable and punctual work history
- Strong work ethic with a high level of efficiency
- Warehouse and inventory management experience
- Stock control and purchasing experience
- Comfortable using ERP systems, warehouse software and computer systems
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience following up customers by phone
- CRM and outbound calling experience
- Ability to work Saturday rosters when required
- Able to work at Yatala store as well
Preferred Background
Experience in one or more of the following industries:
- Building supplies
- Construction materials
- Warehousing
- Trade supply
- Hardware or industrial supply
