Office Manager – Kununurra, WA
Full-time | $35-45 per/hr plus superannuation
IBAC Plumbing & Trade Services is seeking an experienced and highly organised Office Manager to lead the administrative operations of our busy trade-services business in Kununurra.
This is a genuine management-level position suited to someone who can take ownership of office systems, coordinate a diverse administrative workload and support the smooth operation of a growing regional business.
About IBAC
IBAC Plumbing & Trade Services is an established Kimberley business providing plumbing, maintenance and trade services throughout Kununurra and the surrounding region.
We employ approximately 20 people across field operations, management and administration. Our work is fast-paced, varied and strongly connected to the local community.
The role
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Office Manager will be responsible for organising and controlling the day-to-day administrative operations of the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and coordinating the daily activities of the administration team
- Establishing, reviewing and improving office procedures and administrative systems
- Allocating administrative responsibilities and monitoring workflow, priorities and deadlines
- Supporting staff recruitment, onboarding, employee records and general HR administration
- Coordinating management meetings, internal communications and business documentation
- Overseeing records management, document control and confidential company information
- Monitoring office expenditure, purchasing requirements and supplier arrangements
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, employees, contractors and external service providers
- Supporting accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll preparation and financial reporting processes
- Assisting management with operational reports, compliance records and business planning
- Maintaining company registers, licences, insurances and recurring administrative requirements
- Coordinating office facilities, equipment, technology and maintenance
- Ensuring administrative processes support the company’s operational and workplace compliance obligations
- Identifying inefficiencies and implementing practical improvements across the office
About you
To be successful, you will ideally have:
- Demonstrated experience as an Office Manager or in a comparable senior administration position
- Experience coordinating staff, workloads and office systems
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities with limited supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Sound experience with accounting, payroll or business-management software
- Strong Microsoft Office and general technology skills
- Experience maintaining confidential employee and business records
- A practical, calm and solutions-focused approach
- The confidence to communicate with tradespeople, clients, suppliers and senior management
- Full Australian working rights or eligibility to obtain the necessary work rights
Experience in plumbing, construction, maintenance, mining services or another trade-based business would be highly regarded but is not essential.
