About the Opportunity
CCLHD is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist for our Brighter Beginnings Team. Brighter Beginnings is an early childhood initiative delivering health and developmental checks to 4‑year‑olds before school. The program is delivered in Early Learning Centres across the Central Coast.
This role will be directly involved in screening children’s development and planning a pathway forward in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team.
Regular clinical supervision and strong professional links to the Paediatric Occupational Therapy team are well supported.
In this role you will:
• Provide high-level, evidence-informed occupational therapy services to clients, families/carers, and health professionals for complex cases, operating with a high degree of independence.
• Exercise advanced clinical reasoning and independent professional judgement in managing complex cases requiring adaptation of standard approaches.
• Actively contribute to team and organisational priorities, including supervision, quality improvement, research, and allied health initiatives.
• Provide mentoring and clinical supervision to less experienced staff and students.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to support coordinated and effective care delivery.
• Facilitate continuity of care through engagement with community providers and services.

About You
You are a confident, adaptable clinician who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance clinical complexity with leadership responsibilities.
We are looking for someone who has:
• Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration.
• Demonstrated advanced clinical experience with complex patient presentations and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Proven ability to supervise and mentor staff and students to support professional growth.
• Demonstrated leadership in driving quality improvement, innovation, and research activities.
• Advanced clinical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritise competing demands.
• Capacity to provide high-level education, advice, and support to enhance service delivery.
• Unencumbered driver’s licence and willingness to travel across the District.
