We’re that local (Not-For-Profit) Early Learning Centre (ELC) located in the heart of Perth at East Cannington. We’re all about inspiring and nurturing children to become independent little butterflies. And guess what? You’re a big part of how we make this happen. We're seeking an enthusiastic room leader to join us on a fxied term (12 months) maternity leave cover on a part time basis.

What you’ll be doing:
As the door opens at our multicultural centre you will notice large nature based play spaces and a warm home like learning environments, in a quiet suburban area. You’ll lead the close-knit team of educators, to ensure our children enjoy a safe, hygienic, and inspiring environment. We're looking for someone enthusiastic and eager to be a responsible person and willing to open and close the centre.
You’ll also be promoting ‘School ReadY’, maintain high quality programs, manage compliance, and truly engage with our wonderful children and families. At the end of your shift, you’ll walk out the door knowing the children are continuing to develop in body, mind, and spirit.
You’ll be great in this role if you…
- Have infectious enthusiasm and passion in early years education and care
- Have a degree or diploma in Early Childhood or equivalent
- Have a minimum previous of 1 year being a room leader
- Hold a HLTAID012 First Aid certificate or equivalent
- Understand the National Quality Framework & National Education & Care Services Regulations 2012
- Previous experience in children services, developing and implementing programs for 0-to-5-year olds
- Can obtain a National Police Certificate and have a current Working with Children card
