About the Role:
Are you a customer service superstar who loves variety? We are a busy Gold Coast retail venue looking for an energetic Deli Assistant & Cafe Allrounder to join our team.In this dual-focus role, you will split your time between running our fresh deli counter and keeping our cafe customers happy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deli Counter: Slicing, weighing, packaging, and pricing deli products while maintaining beautiful display cabinets.
- Cafe Service: Taking customer orders, operating the POS/cash register, and prepping light meals or snacks.
- Coffee & Beverage: Prepping and serving high-quality coffees and hot drinks (barista experience is a massive plus!).
- Food Safety & Hygiene: Adhering strictly to Food Safety Standards, completing temperature logs, and ensuring spotless clean-up.
What We Are Looking For:
- Previous experience in a fast-paced cafe, deli, or retail food environment.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a warm, friendly, and reliable personality.
- Basic barista skills or a strong willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Knowledge of food hygiene practices (a Food Handling Certificate is highly regarded).
- Flexibility to work a roster that includes weekends.
