Piano Teacher – Independent Contractor
Melody Piano Academy is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, and reliable piano teacher to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants the flexibility of teaching from home.
About the Role
- Teach beginner piano students from your own home studio.
- Flexible hours.
- Independent Contractor (ABN required).
- Starting rate: $35 - $40 per hour.
- Teaching resources and lesson materials are provided.
Availability Required
Applicants must be available for:
- At least one weekday between 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm
- Weekends between 10:00 am – 7:00 pm
Essential Requirements
- AMEB Grade 8 Practical (or equivalent) minimum
- AMEB Grade 4 Theory (or equivalent) preferred
- Must own at least an upright acoustic piano at home (digital pianos will not be considered)
- Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one before commencing)
- ABN (or willingness to obtain one)
- A printer for lesson materials (can be provided if required)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
