Engineer the Future of Energy in Regional WA
As a Senior Commercial Analyst, you'll play a critical role in supporting Horizon Power's Future Energy division by delivering commercial analysis, financial evaluation and strategic insights that influence major energy supply, procurement and investment decisions across regional WA. You'll support the optimisation of key supply contracts, evaluate future energy opportunities and provide the financial intelligence that helps shape cleaner, more sustainable energy solutions.

What you’ll be doing

Provide commercial and financial analysis to support investment decisions, business cases, tender evaluations and strategic recommendations.

Develop and maintain commercial models, tools and frameworks that support decision making and identify value, risk and optimisation opportunities.

Support the optimisation of Horizon Power's energy supply chain by evaluating generation, fuel supply, energy procurement and infrastructure opportunities.

Support the commercial management of key fuel, commodity and service contracts, including valuation, performance assessment and commercial negotiations.

Build and enhance commercial tools and models that are accurate, standardised and fit for purpose.

Partner with stakeholders across commercial, project, operational, finance and legal teams, providing trusted commercial advice and supporting strategic initiatives.
What you’ll bring

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.

Significant experience in commercial analysis, financial modelling and business case development.

Knowledge of the energy sector, including the commercial and operational drivers relevant to evaluating generation, fuel, infrastructure and PPA opportunities.

Advanced Excel skills, including structured references and best practice data modelling techniques.

Strong commercial acumen with the ability to assess risks, identify value and provide practical recommendations.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence outcomes across diverse teams, including those from non-Finance or Engineering backgrounds.

Experience in energy, utilities, infrastructure, fuel, water or related industries will be highly regarded.
