Female Disability Support Worker (ABN) – Immediate Start | St Albans VIC
Shining Star Support Services is seeking two experienced female Disability Support Workers to join our team and provide ongoing support to a participant located in St Albans, VIC.
This is a permanent, long-term opportunity for reliable support workers who are committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care. Our participant has Cerebral Palsy and follows a structured daily routine, so we are looking for workers who are consistent, patient, and able to build a trusting relationship.
Available Shifts
Position 1
- Sunday, Monday & Tuesday
- 7:30am – 9:30am
Position 2
- Wednesday, Thursday & Friday
- 7:30am – 9:30am
Immediate start available.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing personal care, including assistance with morning routines and personal hygiene.
- Assisting with transfers using a hoist.
- Following the participant's established routine and support plan.
- Providing respectful, reliable, and person-centred support.
- Maintaining accurate progress notes and communication with the care team.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be female
- Be 30 years of age or older.
- Hold a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent.
- Have previous experience providing personal care and supporting participants with physical disabilities.
- Have experience using a hoist.
- Hold a current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Hold a current Working with Children Check (if applicable).
- Hold a current Police Check.
- Hold a current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
- Have a valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
- Be working under an ABN.
- Have excellent communication skills and a professional, reliable attitude.
