Salary Range: $67773.08 to $78763.34 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

Transport and Assets: The Transport and Assets division is responsible for a range of functions which support the whole of Council to deliver high quality services to our Northern Beaches bush land, rural and coastal community. The Division comprises these business units - Transport and Civil Infrastructure, Property, Buildings and Beach Services, Asset Strategy and Planning and Capital Works.
The Construction and Maintenance Unit provides a range of capital works program management, project management and design services to the organisation and is committed to providing excellent service to our community. The service provides timely and accurate advice and strives to use best practice methods while developing new and innovative solutions to problems in an effective and environmentally sustainable manner.The Construction and Maintenance Unit delivers projects across a range of assets, including but not limited to:
- Roads and footpaths
- Drainage
- Buildings

Our opportunity :
We currently have four (4) Crew Member – Maintenance positions available.
The key focus areas of this role include:
1) Undertake general labouring tasks as required by the Team Leader. This may include manual handling, concrete/asphalt work, drainage, landscaping and associated street furniture works
2) Safely operate a range of plant and equipment
3) Learn, promote and support compliance with Work Health and Safety policies and procedures and ensure safe working practices and traffic control are maintained
About you
We're looking for a reliable and safety-focused team member who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in delivering quality civil infrastructure. You will bring:
- Experience in concrete construction, footpath, kerb and gutter works, or civil maintenance, or a willingness to learn and develop skills in these areas.
- Experience in stormwater drainage repairs or related civil works, or a willingness to learn.
- Experience in asphalt works and repairs, or a willingness to learn asphalt construction and maintenance.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety and the ability to follow safe work practices.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- A current White Card.
- A current Class C driver's licence.
- A current MR or HR driver's licence is desirable.
- A willingness to operate plant, tools and equipment safely and undertake training as required.
