ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter / Pipefitter to join our expanding Workshop team.
You will be based at our Forrestfield workshop to support our growing portfolio of water treatment plants being manufactured locally in Perth, WA for projects right across Australia.
Working under the guidance of the Workshop Manager, you will play a key role in the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems including piping, pumps, valves, and associated equipment for water treatment plants and environmental remediation projects.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a qualified tradesperson who is eager to develop their mechanical skills and advance their career in the water treatment and environmental services industry.
To be considered for this position, you will possess the following:

Qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter, Pipefitter, or equivalent trade qualification.

Experience in mechanical installations, such as Valve Installations, Pump Installation & Alignment andVessels & Filter Installations.

Experience in piping installations, such as Flange Management, Pipe Routing, Pressure Testing (Hydro/Pneumatic), Flushing, Draining & Drying, Air Blowing, uPVC Sch 80 Pipework and Fittings and SS Compression Fitting Tubing & Press-Fit Tubing.

An uncompromising commitment to safety and environmental outcomes.

The ability to think on your feet, work as part of a team and willingness to assist with a range of tasks as needed.

Valid Australian Driver's Licence.

Australian Citizenship.

Ability to successfully complete a Police Check.
The following attributes would be highly advantageous:

Welding and general fabrication skills

Experience with Safe Rigging Practices

Forklift licence or willingness to obtain one

Working at Heights and Confined Space certifications

Understanding of Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality management systems

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
