We are seeking a Principal Civil Design Engineer to provide technical leadership across major infrastructure projects. Working as part of CJC’s advisory and project delivery team, you will support clients through planning, design development, design management and project delivery phases while providing technical guidance on complex engineering challenges. This role combines technical expertise, stakeholder management, and project leadership and will play an important role in the continued growth of CJC’s infrastructure capability.
- Provide technical leadership across major infrastructure projects.
- Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and consultants.
- Oversee design development to ensure technical quality, constructability and project objectives are achieved.
- Support project managers and client teams through planning, procurement and delivery phases.
- Review engineering designs, reports and technical documentation.
- Manage stakeholder, client and consultant relationships.
- Identify project risks and develop practical solutions.
- Mentor and support developing engineers.
- Assist with proposals, bids and business development activities.
- Degree qualified Civil Engineer.
- Chartered status preferred.
- Significant experience delivering major infrastructure projects.
- Strong background in civil design, design management or engineering advisory.
- Experience working with contractors, consultants and asset owners.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness and experience supporting project delivery.
- High-quality technical outcomes and project delivery.
- Strong client relationships and repeat work.
- Effective management of design programmes and project risks.
- Successful development of junior team members.
- Contribution to the growth of CJC’s infrastructure capability.
