About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker, to join our team on a casual basis. The ideal candidate will have high care abilities and significant experience in dealing with physical and mental health issues/behaviours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and support to NDIS participants.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care and household tasks.
- Support community access
- Support individuals with physical disabilities and mental health challenges.
- Implement and follow individualized care plans.
- Monitor and report on the progress and well-being of participants.
- Foster a supportive and positive environment to enhance participants’ quality of life.
Madaroty Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications in disability support, nursing, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in high-care roles, including support for individuals with physical and mental health needs.
- Proven experience working with young people aged 12 - 24 years
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and compliance with, the Queensland Child Safe Standards and National Principals
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and compliance with, the NDIS Practice Standards and Code of Conduct
- Ability to write clear and concise case notes
- Ability to follow direction
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid Queensland driver’s license and reliable registered/insured vehicle with roadside assistance
- Current/Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check - Yellow Card.
- Current/Valid Working with Children Blue Card
- National Criminal History Check
