About the role
TAFE NSW is undertaking a significant finance transformation initiative to modernise budgeting, forecasting and reporting capabilities across the organisation. We are seeking an experienced Manager Planning Systems & Tools to lead the foundational work that will shape the future finance systems landscape and support the delivery of our Reporting, Budgeting and Forecasting Solution (RBFS) Project.
This is a unique opportunity to combine strategic project leadership, finance systems expertise and stakeholder engagement to drive a high-profile initiative that will improve decision-making, planning and reporting across one of Australia's largest education providers.
This role offers the opportunity to shape one of TAFE NSW's key finance transformation initiatives and influence how financial planning and reporting is delivered into the future. You will work with senior stakeholders across the organisation and play a pivotal role in establishing the foundations for a modern enterprise planning and reporting capability.
About You
Reporting to the Director Finance Systems, you will lead the planning, analysis and delivery activities required to support the next phase of TAFE NSW's budgeting, forecasting and reporting transformation. You will oversee critical project streams including business case development, market evaluation, process simplification, data readiness and architecture documentation that will inform future solution selection and implementation.
You will work across Finance, Technology and key business stakeholders to develop a future-focused planning and reporting environment that improves organisational performance, strengthens governance and supports data-driven decision making. You are a finance systems leader who can operate comfortably across strategy, technology and business transformation. You enjoy solving complex problems, engaging stakeholders and translating business requirements into practical solutions.
To be successful you will bring:
- Significant experience leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting or reporting systems within a large and complex organisation.
- Demonstrated experience delivering finance transformation, systems implementation or business process improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of financial management, planning and reporting frameworks.
- Experience developing business cases, leading vendor assessments and managing technology-related projects.
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret complex financial and operational information.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
- Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
