About the role
The Retirement Living Manager at Southern Cross Care is responsible for the overall management, sales, and customer service of selected retirement villages. This role ensures operations comply with the Retirement Village Act, are financially successful, and maintain high levels of resident satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Community & Resident Care: Manage seamless admissions, run engaging activity programs, resolve feedback with empathy, and keep residents informed through regular newsletters and meetings.
- Sales & Village Growth: Warmly handle enquiries, lead marketing campaigns, conduct villa inspections, and coordinate refurbishments to make vacant villas look stunning.
- Operational Excellence: Meet budget targets, manage departmental finances, and ensure full compliance with the Retirement Village Act.
- Safety & Quality: Promote continuous improvement, uphold accreditation standards, and maintain strict Work Health and Safety (WHS) practices.

About you

The successful candidate will have the following;
- People Skills: A genuine customer-first mindset with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- A Strong Ethic: A high level of integrity, an aptitude for proactive problem-solving, and solid computer literacy.
- Mindset: Alignment with our "Better for life" model and a basic understanding of Aged Care Standards.
- Experience: While experience in a similar retirement or property management role is highly desirable, it is not essential if you have the right attitude, transferable customer service skills, and a happy, helpful disposition. Contractor/Trades management skills would be an added bonus.
