We're currently seeking a Manager IMS Procurement to lead procurement strategy and supplier management across Australia and New Zealand. This is an opportunity to partner with senior leaders, drive commercial value, influence business decisions, and contribute to PMI's ongoing transformation.
Reporting into the business leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that support business objectives while delivering value, efficiency, sustainability, and supplier excellence across the affiliate.
As the key procurement partner to senior stakeholders, you'll lead sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, spend optimisation programs, and sustainability initiatives while ensuring alignment with regional and global procurement strategies.

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with affiliate and global business objectives.

Partner closely with senior stakeholders to understand business priorities and translate them into effective sourcing plans.

Provide commercial guidance and procurement expertise across key projects and business initiatives.

Drive procurement planning, forecasting, and expenditure optimisation activities.

Lead relationships with key local, regional, and global suppliers.

Negotiate commercial agreements to achieve the optimal balance of cost, quality, service, and risk.

Drive supplier performance management and continuous improvement initiatives.

Develop and execute supplier relationship management strategies across critical categories.

Deliver cost savings and value creation initiatives across the procurement portfolio.

Partner with Finance to ensure visibility of procurement budgets, spend, and forecasting requirements.

Establish pricing forecasts and support annual budgeting and reporting cycles.

Drive improvements in payment terms, cash flow outcomes, and overall procurement efficiency.

Embed sustainability principles into procurement activities and supplier engagement strategies.

Monitor supplier sustainability performance and drive remediation plans where required.

Stay informed on sustainability trends, regulatory developments, and industry best practices.

Support PMI's sustainability commitments through responsible sourcing initiatives.

Build deep market knowledge across supplier categories and procurement markets.

Conduct supplier, industry, and macroeconomic analysis to identify opportunities and risks.

Provide data-driven recommendations and sourcing insights to business stakeholders.

Identify opportunities to leverage regional and global procurement synergies.

Relevant Qualifcation
-
Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years' experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, Supply Chain, or a related commercial function.

Strong commercial negotiation and contract management experience.

Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders across a complex organisation.

Experience managing strategic supplier relationships and leading supplier performance programs.

Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budget management, forecasting, and cost optimisation.

Experience leading procurement projects and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Knowledge of sustainable sourcing principles, supplier governance, and risk management frameworks.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.

Advanced proficiency in procurement analytics, spend management, and sourcing methodologies.

Experience working within regional or global matrix organisations will be highly regarded.
