We are currently looking for a Senior Mine Geologist (Open Pit) based in Western Australia,we are offering this opportunity on a permanent basis with most opportunities based around an 8:6 roster.
The role:
As our Senior Mine Geologist, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the Mine Geology team and driving the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality geological outcomes.
- Leading by example, you'll foster a strong safety culture while mentoring, coaching, and developing the team to achieve both individual and operational success.
- Demonstrating and coaching mine geology best practice
- Assistance with the generation and formatting of work procedures, policies and processes.
- Leading and supporting an effective grade control strategy
- Accurate reporting of grade control and reconciliation data
- Planning, supervision and optimisation of drill programs and data management
- Supervising stockpile and ore blend management
- Working closely with mine planning and operational stakeholders, you will provide expert geological guidance to support informed decision making across the mining value chain.
- Your ability to deliver accurate, timely geological information will directly support mine planning, operational performance, and corporate reporting requirements, making you a key contributor to the success of the operation.
About you:

A strong understanding of a broad range of geological principles, processes and ore deposit types within open pit mining environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex geological information clearly to a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Proven leadership and people management experience, with a passion for mentoring, developing and motivating high-performing teams.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret geological data and make informed, business-critical decisions.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement, operational excellence and safe work practices.
You will hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology (or similar) and ideally have a strong background working across gold. You are proficient in industry-leading geological and resource modelling software, including Leapfrog and/or Vulcan.
