Details: The Education Directorate is reshaping how its central office works so it can better support schools, students, staff, government and the ACT community. The multidisciplinary organisation design team will deliver a challenging program of discovery, design and implementation to reshape how the directorate operates and is structured. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to a once-in-a-generation organisation reform program that will help build a more connected, sustainable and effective education directorate.
The Business Analyst will support the program by providing structured analysis and process documentation to inform organisation design, consultation and implementation. Working closely with the Senior Business Analyst and program team, the role contributes to developing a strong evidence base by engaging with subject matter experts, analysing current state functions, services and processes, and helping define future state requirements.
The position operates in a complex and evolving environment, requiring strong analytical capability, attention to detail and the ability to translate information into clear, structured artefacts that support decision-making and program delivery.
As the reform agenda matures, work programs, reporting arrangements and team structures may evolve. We are looking for people who are comfortable working flexibly in a changing environment and who want to help build a more connected, sustainable and effective education directorate.
Note: This is a temporary position available for 12 months with the possibility of permanency.
These roles sit in a broader reform environment. While the immediate focus is organisation design, successful candidates may contribute to related reform, implementation or transition priorities as the work program evolves.
A merit pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
