About Role:
You will be providing advanced clinical expertise as part of the Occupational Therapy department at the Joondalup Health Campus within the Stroke Ward. You will provide evidence-based interventions that align with best practice guidelines to delivering outstanding care to our patients. Support junior staff members to grow and develop their clinical skills within the orthopaedic and surgical caseloads. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of our orthopaedic and surgical services, and drive service development.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will meet the following selection criteria:

Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA

Minimum of two years clinical experience in acute stroke wards and/or an inpatient acute hospital setting.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, service providers, external agencies, patients, families, and caregivers.

Demonstrated ability to apply clinical reasoning, sound judgement and complex decision making at an advanced level of practice, considering broader implications and longer-term impacts of decisions

Experience providing clinical education and supervision to junior staff members and students.

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and prioritise a busy clinical caseload alongside associated administrative responsibilities within a hospital setting

Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and develop client-centred, occupation-focused intervention plans in collaboration with patients, the multidisciplinary team, and consulting medical staff
