The opportunity
BDA is looking for a Warehouse Supply Chain Specialist who will join the C-17 Globemaster G3 team. In this role you will perform duties associated to Priority Demand Management, Warehousing, and Distribution in support of the C-17 Globemaster Virtual Fleet. This will involve, but not be limited to, receipt, dispatch and other related warehousing and distribution support activities.
This role is based at RAAF Base Amberley.
Responsibilities
As a Warehouse Supply Chain Specialist within BDA, you will
- Transact using Inventory Management Systems via USA systems - Warehouse on Web, GOLD ESP and Defence ERP transactions to support project activities;
- Management and control of inventory accounts including Serviceable, Repairable, Quarantine and Disposal Accounts in accordance with Defence and both Boeing BDA and The Boeing Company (TBC) policy and procedures;
- Afternoon and weekend shift work in addition to on call requirements (once proficient),
- Processing all aspects of receipt, storage, handling, packaging & shipping and issuing of inventory from the warehouse facility.
- As part of the C-17 Global Fleet Supply Chain you will learn to raise high priority demands in support of Amberley Based Aircraft.
- Process Support requirements for Virtual C-17 International Fleet Partners.
- Gain Knowledge in the expectations of packing and processing exports as part of the C-17 Known Consignor accreditation.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Desire to grow your knowledge of, and gain experience in, supply support roles and functions.
- Desire to gain in-depth knowledge and experience in all computerised inventory management systems and methodologies utilised at BDA
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications
- Forklift license preferred, but not essential.
Experience/Qualifications
- Previous experience in Integrated Logistics Support concepts and methodologies.
- Experience within Defence or commercial Inventory Management System
- Competent in the use of MS Office computer software.
- High level communication and negotiation skills that facilitate open and effective communications between key stake holders.
- Applicants must be an Australian citizen to meet Defence security requirement
Highly desirable
- Security clearance Negative Vetting 1, However Baseline applications will be considered
- Experience working within an aviation or Defence environment.
