About the Role
Jay Productions and Events is a premium AV production provider supplying comprehensive audio, video, lighting, and staging solutions for bespoke high-end brand events and large-scale corporate functions.
We are seeking a Technical Director/Production Coordinator to oversee the operational logistics, inventory Allocation, and execution within our Major Projects division. This role handles project lifecycles from initial technical scoping through to on-site delivery and final financial reconciliation.
This position is suited for an experienced Senior AV Technician looking to transition into full-time project management, or a Junior Account Manager with a strong technical production foundation.
Key Responsibilities
Project Logistics & Financial Oversight
- Manage end-to-end project timelines, equipment scheduling, and resource allocation using Current RMS.
- Assist the Major Projects Team with asset tracking, labor budgeting, purchase orders, and sub-rental costs to protect job margins.
- Interface across technical departments (Audio, Video, Lighting, Staging) to ensure system designs, gear lists, and workflows are completely aligned prior to load-in.
- Oversee post-event reconciliation, including sub-rental returns, crew timesheets, and final job costing.
On-Site Execution & Crew Delivery
- Source, schedule, and brief freelance crews, specialized technicians, and site staff.
- Generate and distribute accurate technical schedules, risk assessments, and load-in/load-out plans.
- Serve as a primary operational point of contact on-site during Smaller-scale activations, ensuring technical execution complies with the client brief and venue constraints.
- Address on-site adjustments, equipment requirements, and timeline variations directly with corporate clients and agency partners.
Qualifications & Requirements
Core Requirements:
- Industry Experience: 4+ years of direct experience within the AV production and live events industry.
- Operational Skills: Strong commercial literacy with the ability to review equipment lists, manage technical labor budgets, and identify margin bottlenecks.
- Communication: Direct, professional verbal and written communication style suitable for high-end corporate clients, event agencies, and technical crew alike.
Technical & Software Knowledge (Highly Valued but NOT Required): We do not expect you to be a master operator of all these platforms, but a solid familiarity or past exposure to the following technical ecosystems is highly advantageous for scheduling, scoping, and System design purposes:
- Event Design: Vectorworks 2026.
- Audio Systems & Communications: Dante routing protocols, QLab, L-Acoustics Soundvision, d&b audiotechnik ArrayCalc, Riedel Bolero and premium digital mixing environments (DiGiCo, Allen & Heath dLive/SQ, Avid VENUE | S6L).
- Video & Media Servers: Blackmagic Design ATEM Constellation switchers, Resolume, PVP (ProVideoPlayer), and NovaStar VMP (Vision Management Platform).
- Lighting & Networking: grandMA3, Luminex and general networking knowledge.
- General Systems: Microsoft Office Suite and a fundamental understanding of basic IT/AV networking knowledge.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
