Working closely with senior leadership, you'll play a pivotal role in developing commercially successful collections that balance innovation, functionality and customer demand.
Some Duties:
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of seasonal product ranges, from concept through to bulk production.
- Conduct trend forecasting, market research and competitor analysis to identify commercial opportunities and inspire future collections.
- Create commercially focused products that align with customer needs, brand direction and target price points.
- Collaborate closely with production and offshore manufacturing partners to ensure design intent, quality standards and critical path deadlines are achieved.
- Oversee fittings, sampling, fabric and trim approvals, and maintain exceptional product quality throughout the development process.
- Present product ranges to senior stakeholders and contribute to strategic product decisions.
- Monitor sales performance and customer feedback to continually refine future product assortments.
- Mentor and support junior members of the design team, fostering collaboration and creativity.
- Work cross-functionally with marketing and graphics teams to ensure cohesive product launches and brand storytelling.
About you:
- Experience designing commercially successful apparel collections within the fashion industry.
- Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle, garment construction and production processes.
- Confident working with offshore suppliers and managing product from concept through to production.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with excellent technical drawing and presentation abilities.
- A strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance creativity with business objectives.
