G&M Event Group is one of Brisbane’s leading Wedding and Private Event Entertainment & Production companies, based in Park Ridge South.
We deliver premium weddings, corporate events, school formals, private parties and large-scale celebrations. Our work ranges from DJ and MC services through to lighting, staging, audio-visual and special effects.
We are growing and need reliable, high-energy crew members who want to be part of creating outstanding events.
The Role
As part of our Event Support Crew, you’ll be responsible for the physical delivery of events — from warehouse pickup through to on-site setup and pack-down.
Tasks include:
- Loading and unloading production equipment
- Setting up lighting, audio and effects equipment
- Basic operation of event equipment (full training provided)
- Assisting DJs and technicians on site
- Pack-downs and returns to warehouse
- Deliveries using company vehicles
Most shifts are Thursday, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, with some weekday work available. Expect late finishes and occasionally long shifts during peak season.
This is hands-on, fast-paced work. If you like moving, building and being part of something high-energy, you’ll enjoy it.
No prior experience required — we provide structured training.

You are:
- Physically fit and capable of labour-intensive work
- Reliable and punctual (non-negotiable)
- Well presented and confident around clients
- Fast, proactive and able to work under pressure
- Detail-oriented — you care about getting things right
- A strong communicator and team player
- Someone who takes pride in doing the job properly
Essential:
- Open Manual Driver’s Licence
- Clean driving record
- Own reliable transport
Highly regarded:
- Experience as a stagehand, AV tech or event crew
