Franquette Crêperie opened in October 2023 and has quickly become a favourite among locals and visitors alike. Open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner, we serve authentic French galettes and crêpes, alongside a seasonal menu inspired by the cafés and crêperies of France.
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team in Bowral, NSW. This is a hands-on role focused on preparing and cooking a range of sweet crêpes, savoury galettes and other menu items while maintaining high standards of quality, consistency and presentation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and service standards
- Assist with food preparation and daily kitchen operations
- Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency
- Maintain food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards at all times
- Assist with stock rotation and storage of ingredients
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service
- Support the team during busy service periods
Requirements
- At least two years of relevant experience as a Cook or in a similar role
- Ability to prepare and cook food in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- An interest in French cuisine and willingness to learn traditional crêpe-making techniques
