Lead a Team. Grow Great People. Build a Career That Matters.
At Hader Institute of Education, we recognise that education is the pathway to opportunity. We are the leading online education and training provider to individuals wanting to pursue a career in Community Services, Youth Work & Mental Health.
We believe in a future where everyone feels included, connected, valued and belongs. This belief inspires our mission — through learning, community and support, we're here to empower people to help each other on their paths to discovery and transformation.
The Role
As Team Lead, you'll bring out the best in a team of Student Recruitment Officers — coaching, mentoring and developing each person so they grow into confident, capable professionals who genuinely love what they do. Strong results follow naturally when people feel supported, skilled and connected to purpose. You will:
- Lead and develop a team of Student Recruitment Officers, with a focus on growing each person's confidence and capability
- Coach and mentor individuals through regular one-on-ones, real-time feedback and skill-building conversations
- Guide the team's day-to-day performance by understanding what each person needs to thrive — not just what the numbers say
- Recruit, onboard and nurture new team members, setting them up to succeed from day one
- Champion quality conversations with students, helping the team build genuine, consultative relationships with future learners
- Build a culture of trust, encouragement and shared purpose — the kind of team people are proud to be part of
- Stay close to the work — lead by example, jump into calls when it helps, and model the coaching approach you want your team to use
About You
- 3+ years leading teams within education, RTO or higher education, with a genuine track record of developing people and helping them grow into their potential
- Experience in education sales, with a strong understanding of the student enrolment journey, compliance requirements and a consultative, human-first approach
- A natural coach — someone who leads through listening, encouragement and honest feedback rather than pressure
- Qualifications in Business, Leadership & Management, Education or a related discipline are highly regarded. Equivalent leadership experience will also be considered
- A genuine passion for developing people, building capability and helping others become future leaders in their own right
Skills & Attributes We're Looking For
- Coach at Heart — energised by helping others grow, learn and improve, one honest conversation at a time
- Trusted Leader — builds real relationships, listens well, and creates a culture where people feel safe to try, fail and improve
- Warm & Encouraging — brings positivity and patience to every interaction, especially when things get tough
- Steady Under Pressure — stays calm, supportive and solutions-focused when challenges arise
- Clear Communicator — gives feedback with care, explains the "why," and helps people connect their work to a bigger purpose
- Purpose-Driven — understands that great outcomes come from great people, not just great numbers
What's in It for You
- Competitive compensation structure with a generous, uncapped commission plan, paid monthly
- A supportive leadership team genuinely invested in your growth and development
- Real visibility and impact — your contribution is seen, and your career moves faster here than at a larger institution
- Ongoing training, coaching and professional development delivered by experienced industry leaders
- A collaborative, connected team culture where relationships matter and every win is celebrated
- Convenient Armadale office location, just moments from Malvern Station, with onsite parking available
- Dedicated recreation and breakout spaces designed to support wellbeing, connection and balance throughout the workday
