We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable 3rd or 4th Year Electrical Apprentice to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has already developed a solid foundation in the electrical trade and is looking to continue building their skills while completing their Certificate III in Electrotechnology.
About the Role
As part of the Nova Air & Electrical team, you will work alongside qualified electricians, leading hands and management across a variety of electrical and air-conditioning projects.
Your duties will include:
- Assisting with residential and commercial electrical installations
- Assisting with air-conditioning installations and associated electrical works
- Installing and fitting off lighting, power points, switches and electrical equipment
- Running cables and completing general electrical rough-in and fit-off works
- Following instructions provided by qualified tradespeople, Leading Hands and Management
- Loading and unloading tools, equipment and materials
- Maintaining tools, equipment and work vehicles
- Keeping worksites clean, organised and safe
- Applying Work Health and Safety regulations, codes and safe work practices at all times
- Continuing competency development and progressing towards completion of your apprenticeship
Essential Attributes
The successful applicant will:
- Be currently completing their 3rd or 4th year of a Certificate III in Electrotechnology
- Have previous hands-on experience within the electrical industry
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Show initiative, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- Take pride in the quality of their workmanship
- Be reliable, punctual and well presented
- Have a strong awareness of WHS requirements
- Be able to work under pressure and adapt to a variety of tasks
- Have a solid work ethic and a positive attitude
- Hold a current Australian driver's licence
Experience with residential electrical work and/or air-conditioning installations will be highly regarded.
