Join Our Village — Support Workers Wanted
The Village Care Services is growing, and we'd love for the right people to grow with us. We're seeking caring, dependable Support Workers who take real pride in helping others feel safe, stay connected and live well. If that sounds like you, keep reading.
Our care is person-centred and trauma-informed, spanning children, young people and adults. We're deliberate about matching each team member to clients whose routines, personalities and needs play to that worker's strengths, because we believe the right fit is what makes support genuinely effective.
Where we need you
- Adult day support — Brisbane Northside
- School holiday support for children, in their homes and out in the community — Moreton Bay
- Before- and after-school routine support for children and families — Moreton Bay
Across all of these, the focus is on meaningful engagement, skill building and safe, positive interaction, with personal care kept to a minimum.
What we're looking for
- A Blue Card and Yellow Card (or willingness to obtain both)
- A driver's licence (green P or above) and a reliable, comprehensively insured car
- Compassion, patience and strong personal values
- Study or experience in a relevant field such as community services, disability, mental health, youth work or education
Highly regarded
- Flexibility across a range of shifts
- An interest in supporting clients of different ages and backgrounds
- A calm, proactive and trauma-informed approach
Why our team stays with us
We look after our people as carefully as we look after our clients. When you join us, you can count on:
- A company mobile phone, helping you maintain clear, professional boundaries between work and home
- A 24/7 on-call service, so support is always within reach, whatever the hour
- A stable, consistent roster you can build your life around
- Personalised teams and tailored care, so you form real, lasting relationships rather than rotating through unfamiliar faces
- Genuine room to grow — we're actively developing senior pathways and opportunities for dedicated team members who want to progress their careers with us
- Flexible hours, competitive pay rates, and a culture grounded in respect, safety and authentic care
You'll also be supported by a small, highly experienced leadership team that genuinely invests in staff development. Between them, our managers and senior practitioners bring decades of combined experience across children's, youth, family and disability services, with backgrounds spanning operations, case management, frontline care and staff mentoring. They're hands-on, approachable and committed to growing the people around them, so you'll always have guidance, supervision and encouragement when you need it.
Pay: $45.23 – $50.61 per hour
Benefits:
- Employee mentoring program
- Professional development assistance
