About the role
As the Clinical Lead, you will provide expert clinical leadership and strategic guidance across Prevention and Response to Violence, Abuse and Neglect (PARVAN) services throughout the New England North West region. Working closely with the PARVAN Service Manager, you will support clinical excellence, strengthen governance frameworks, and drive quality improvement initiatives that enhance outcomes for people impacted by violence, abuse and neglect.
You will provide clinical oversight and support across a diverse portfolio of services, including the Tamworth Emergency Department Integrated VAN Afterhours Crisis Service, Child Protection Counselling Services, Sexual Assault Services and after-hours crisis response teams across Tamworth, Armidale and Moree, the Integrated VAN Team in Inverell, the Moree VAN Social Worker service, and the Sexual Assault Medical Lead function for New England North West.
This is a unique opportunity to influence service delivery across multiple programs, supporting multidisciplinary teams that provide integrated, trauma-informed care focused on safety, recovery and long-term wellbeing.

The PARVAN portfolio delivers specialist services across the New England North West region, supporting individuals, families and communities affected by violence, abuse and neglect. Our teams work across crisis response, counselling, medical and advocacy services to deliver culturally responsive, person-centred care and drive meaningful change.
This position is flexibly located across the New England North West region, with Tamworth preferred. Candidates located in Armidale, Inverell or Moree are also encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

Must hold a qualification: Psychology, Social Work, Counsellor which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association / provisional or general registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.

Demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and experience to meet the requirements of a Level 4 Allied Health Clinician.

Current unrestricted NSW Drivers License and ability to travel as part of the role.

Extensive direct clinical experience providing trauma and violence informed and culturally safe crisis assessment, case management, therapeutic intervention and systems advocacy for children, young people and adults and families who have, or at risk of experiencing violence, abuse, and neglect

Demonstrated application and in depth understanding of the legislation, NSW Health policies and relevant state-wide reforms surrounding violence, abuse, and neglect and of NSW Closing the Gap in practice.

Extensive experience and demonstrated ability in building and maintaining co-operative professional and therapeutic relationships through the application of written, verbal, interpersonal, negation and conflict resolution skills.
