The City of Perth is seeking an experienced operational leader to supervise our Nightshift Sanitation and Street Cleaning team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll coordinate people, resources and operations to ensure our streets, public spaces and waste services are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.
Leading from the front, you'll oversee a dedicated team of employees and contractors, respond to operational priorities, manage resources, and ensure the City is ready for another day before most people wake up.

- Lead and supervise the City's nightshift waste, litter collection and street cleaning operations;
- Coordinate staff, contractors, plant and resources to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality services;
- Manage operational scheduling, emergency responses, reporting and day-to-day service delivery; and
- Recruit, develop and support employees while promoting a positive, safety-focused team culture.
You'll be a confident people leader with experience supervising operational teams in waste management, street cleaning or a similar frontline environment. You can confidently balance competing priorities, make sound operational decisions and motivate teams to achieve exceptional service outcomes.
You'll also bring:
- Proven experience leading frontline operational teams in waste, cleaning or a similar environment;
- Strong leadership, communication and people management skills with the ability to motivate others;
- Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety, operational planning and resource management; and
- The ability to build positive relationships with employees, contractors and stakeholders while delivering excellent customer service.

Eligibility
To be eligible to work for us, you will need to demonstrate:
- A right to work in Australia (e.g. a birth certificate, current passport or current visa);
- Fitness for work via a pre-employment medical;
- A current ‘HR’ class Australian drivers licence; and
- A satisfactory National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months).
