In this role, you will:

- Design, implement, and optimise enterprise network security solutions, ensuring alignment with NSW Health security standards, policies, and compliance requirements.
- Manage and enhance critical infrastructure and security platforms, including F5 Load Balancers, Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls, network authentication services, and NTP Stratum 1 and 2 environments.
- Lead the investigation and resolution of complex network and security incidents, vulnerabilities, and performance issues to maintain service reliability and availability.
- Develop and maintain security controls, firewall policies, network segmentation, and secure access solutions to protect critical healthcare systems and data.
- Conduct security reviews, risk assessments, and technical assurance activities for new and existing network services.
- Drive automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, visibility, and security posture.
- Evaluate emerging network and cybersecurity technologies and provide expert recommendations to improve ICT services and reduce risk.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure solutions.
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to engineers, fostering capability development and promoting security best practices across eHealth teams.
- Contribute to technical standards, governance, and strategic planning to support NSW Health's digital transformation and cybersecurity objectives.
