In this hands-on, full-time role, you will be responsible for carrying out a broad range of carpentry tasks across residential and/or commercial sites throughout Melbourne. From framing and structural work through to detailed joinery and finishing, you will bring precision and pride to every project. You will collaborate with site managers, fellow tradespeople, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard.
- Interpret and work from plans, drawings, and specifications to determine materials and installation procedures
- Carry out framing, wall and roof structures, flooring, formwork, and other structural carpentry work
- Install doors, windows, architraves, skirting boards, built-in cabinetry, and other interior fittings
- Measure, cut, and shape timber and composite materials with accuracy and minimal waste
- Prepare surfaces and carry out repairs and maintenance carpentry as required
- Maintain a safe and tidy worksite, adhering to all WHS obligations and site protocols
- Liaise with project managers, other trades, and clients as needed to ensure smooth project delivery
- Assist in the training and mentoring of apprentices where applicable
- Minimum 1 year of relevant carpentry experience full-time (or part-time equivalent)
- Certificate III in Carpentry (CPC30220) or equivalent
- Solid understanding of building codes, Australian Standards, and WHS requirements
- Ability to read and interpret site plans, drawings, and specifications
- High attention to detail with a commitment to quality and craftsmanship
- Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid Australian work rights
