As we continue to develop and strengthen our NDIS services, we are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with strong knowledge of NDIS registration, clinical governance and NDIS Practice Standards to support our organisation.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced NDIS Registration Nurse / Clinical Governance Nurse who can assist Vital Empowerment Pty Ltd with NDIS registration requirements and ensure our clinical services, policies and operational systems meet relevant NDIS standards.
The successful candidate will work closely with management to review and develop the organisation's clinical governance framework, policies, procedures and supporting documentation in preparation for NDIS registration and audit.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation for NDIS registration and audit requirements
- Review organisational systems against the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators
- Develop and review nursing and clinical governance policies and procedures
- Assist with identifying and addressing compliance gaps prior to audit
- Support implementation of appropriate clinical risk-management systems
- Develop or review incident management, medication management, infection prevention and clinical escalation processes
- Support policies relating to participant assessments, care planning and clinical documentation
- Assist with worker competency and clinical training requirements
- Provide guidance regarding NDIS requirements for delivery of nursing and higher-risk supports
- Support continuous quality improvement and evidence preparation for NDIS audits
- Work collaboratively with management to establish safe, practical and compliant clinical systems
Essential Criteria
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Sound understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards
- Experience working within NDIS, disability, community nursing, aged care or a similar healthcare environment
- Strong knowledge of clinical governance, risk management and quality improvement
- Excellent written communication and policy-development skills
- Ability to work independently and provide practical compliance advice
- Strong understanding of person-centred care and participant safety
Highly Desirable
Previous experience with NDIS registration, certification/verification audits or preparing an NDIS provider for audit will be highly regarded.
Experience developing clinical policies, procedures, registers, audit evidence and governance frameworks for an NDIS provider would also be advantageous.
