What you'll do
As the Support Team Lead, you will provide leadership, guidance and operational support to Support Officers and Customer Support Officers, ensuring the accurate collation, review, entry, maintenance and retrieval of data and documentation within the Surgery Connect Activity Navigator (SCAN) and related patient management systems. You will support staff in the delivery of their daily responsibilities, maintain a strong understanding of relevant systems, processes and policies, and drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing innovative administrative practices. The role is responsible for interpreting and providing advice on contractual arrangements, delivering high-quality customer service across multiple communication channels, and managing enquiries and complaints in accordance with Surgery Connect and Queensland Health policies. You will plan and prioritise administrative activities to support the successful delivery of the Surgery Connect program, build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to service outcomes that align with departmental strategic objectives while remaining responsive to changing business needs.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of medical terminology used to deliver patient-centred activities would be highly regarded.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with database utilisation and patient management systems.
Experience, skills and knowledge of departmental financial and administrative processes, with a proven ability to actively participate in business improvement initiatives that deliver more efficient work practices.
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a range of activities and projects with conflicting timeframes.
Provide general administrative support functions across the team that contributes to organisational goals and objectives.
Identify development opportunities and strive for continuous improvement and support risk and issue identification, assessment and mitigation activities by ensuring risks and issues are documented, reviewed and escalated as appropriate.
