QCFM is a leading refrigerated transport and logistics provider committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers throughout Australia. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Nightshift Transport Supervisor to join our operations team.
This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing nightly transport operations, ensuring freight is loaded, dispatched and delivered efficiently while maintaining safety, compliance and customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate nightshift transport operations
- Lead and support drivers (local and linehaul) and forklift operators
- Manage freight loading and unloading activities
- Monitor vehicle movements and driver performance
- Coordinate breakdowns, maintenance requirements and operational issues that occur throughout the night
- Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management, and company procedures
- Maintain temperature control and cold chain integrity across all freight movements Australia wide
- Liaise with customers, drivers and internal departments to ensure service expectations are met
- Complete operational reporting and administrative duties using Microsoft 365 and transport management systems
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
- Extensive forklift operating experience
- Current HC Driver's Licence
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to direct, motivate and manage a team
- Strong knowledge of truck and trailer mechanical issues, fault-finding and breakdown management, and/or workshop administration experience
- Experience managing temperature-controlled freight operations
- Excellent customer service, communication and organisational skills
- Sound computer skills and experience using Microsoft 365 applications
- Ability to work a 10-hour night shift roster
- Flexibility to work weekends as required
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced transport environment
