Do you thrive in a team environment where your contribution truly matters? At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), we are committed to Trusted Care, Better Health for Everyone, and we are looking for a dedicated Health Manager to be an essential part of our team.
About the Opportunity
Healthcare is changing faster than ever. An ageing population, new models of care, digital transformation and increasing demand mean today's decisions will shape how healthcare is delivered for decades to come.
We're looking for an exceptional Health Planner who thrives on complexity, enjoys solving challenging system problems and wants to make a genuine impact on the health of an entire community.
This is not a role where you'll simply write reports. You'll help design the future of health services across the Central Coast, working alongside clinicians, executives, consumers and partner organisations to develop innovative solutions that improve access, quality and sustainability.
Your work will directly influence strategic decisions, major service developments, business cases and health service planning across one of NSW's most progressive Local Health Districts. If you're motivated by solving meaningful problems and seeing your ideas translate into real-world outcomes, this is an opportunity to make a lasting impact.
What You'll Be Working On
No two weeks are the same. You could be:
-
Developing future-focused health service plans that respond to changing community needs.
-
Analysing population trends, service utilisation and emerging evidence to identify opportunities for improvement.
-
Designing innovative models of care that improve patient outcomes and access.
-
Leading strategic projects that shape the future direction of the District.
-
Preparing business cases, executive briefings and strategic advice that inform major investment decisions.
-
Collaborating with clinicians, consumers, universities, Primary Health Networks and government agencies to solve complex healthcare challenges.
-
Contributing to some of the district’s most significant strategic initiatives
For more information about this role, please view the Position Description.
About You
You're naturally curious and enjoy asking "Why?" and "What if?" You bring together data, evidence and diverse perspectives to solve complex challenges, and you're equally comfortable analysing information, facilitating discussions with clinicians and stakeholders, and presenting clear, evidence-based recommendations.
You don't need to have all the answers from the outset. What matters is your curiosity, critical thinking and drive to find them.
To complement these qualities, you'll bring experience in health planning, strategy, policy, project management, analytics or healthcare improvement, together with:
-
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
-
Experience interpreting complex health data and evidence
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Confidence engaging with clinicians, executives and a broad range of stakeholders
-
Initiative, sound judgement and the ability to work independently
-
A genuine commitment to improving health outcomes for the community
Applicants must have current work rights in Australia or be a permanent resident or citizen. Unfortunately, we cannot consider applicants who do not meet this requirement.
Benefits
-
Work-Life Balance: Enjoy an accrued day off each month, 17.5% annual leave loading, and paid parental leave.
-
Financial Benefits: Boost your take-home pay with salary packaging, save on car costs with novated leasing, and access relocation assistance.
-
Health & Wellbeing: Stay active with discounted gym memberships (Fitness Passport), free flu vaccinations, telehealth support, and confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP) counselling for you and your family. Plus, access discounted private health insurance.
-
