The purpose of this role is to support the maintenance and upkeep of buildings and facilities across the Coronial and Public Health Sciences campus, undertaking a broad range of maintenance activities to ensure safe, compliant and functional work environments.
What you'll do
In this role you will undertake general building maintenance tasks, assist trades staff with maintenance projects, perform scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance activities, identify and report faults, complete minor repairs and painting works, transport maintenance materials and equipment, escort contractors on site, contribute to workplace safety initiatives, and support the ongoing operation and maintenance of critical facilities across the campus.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
Has experience in general building maintenance or trade assistant activities
Can confidently use powered and non-powered hand tools
Has knowledge of basic maintenance tasks including painting, repairs and facility upkeep
Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills
Can identify and resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner
Is committed to workplace health and safety and delivering quality outcomes
