Credera is looking for a Consultant, Digital Platform Solutions to join our team on a 12 month fixed term contract in either Sydney or Melbourne.
The Consultant, Digital Platform Solutions is responsible for supporting, maintaining and enhancing digital platforms for our clients, alongside contributing to implementation and project delivery. Working independently or under guidance, the Consultant diagnoses and resolves issues, delivers platform enhancements, and develops high-quality CMS and DXP solutions - with a primary focus on Optimizely CMS 11, 12 and 13 and the broader Microsoft .NET ecosystem. The role is hands-on and execution-focused, with an expectation to develop broader solution awareness and consulting capability over time.
Job Duties:
Platform delivery and implementation
- Implement, support and configure Optimizely DXP & CMS 11, 12 and 13 solutions for clients.
- Develop content types, page templates, blocks and components in accordance with solution designs and client requirements.
- Develop and integrate .NET APIs and third-party services following defined integration patterns.
- Manage work across multiple clients, support requests and project priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Write clean, maintainable code following established standards, patterns, and coding conventions.
- Participate in code reviews and act on feedback to continuously improve code quality.
Delivery support and quality
- Work within agreed support processes, priorities and service expectations, clearly communicating progress and resolution status.
- Carry out unit testing and support QA activities to ensure delivery outputs meet acceptance criteria.
- Identify and communicate technical issues or blockers early to minimise delivery risk.
- Follow agreed delivery processes, documentation standards, and version control practices.
- Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve application defects, production issues and support requests.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement sustainable fixes rather than short-term workarounds.
- Support platform upgrades, security updates, dependency updates and routine maintenance activities.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, support notes and knowledge-base articles.
Client engagement and collaboration
- Participate in client workshops, meetings and requirements sessions alongside relevant stakeholders.
- Communicate progress, assumptions, and issues clearly within the team and to client stakeholders when appropriate.
- Build productive working relationships with client team members through reliable delivery and collaboration.
Capability development
- Actively develop depth in Optimizely CMS 13 & other CMS platform such as Contentful and Contentstack.
- Keep up to date with Optimizely product updates, releases, and best practices.
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, documentation, and reusable asset development.
- Pursue relevant certifications including Optimizely certifications as directed.
Qualifications:
Knowledge and skills
- Hands-on experience with Optimizely CMS 11 & 12 (13 desirable), including content modelling, page types, blocks and platform configuration.
- Strong foundational skills in C# and the Microsoft .NET ecosystem, including .NET Framework and modern .NET/.NET Core.
- Experience developing and maintaining ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core MVC, Razor and Web API applications.
- Experience using Jira, Confluence or comparable tools to manage work, document solutions and communicate delivery progress.
- Understanding of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, dependency injection, asynchronous programming and common software design patterns.
- Experience diagnosing application issues using logs, debugging tools and application monitoring.
- Working knowledge of automated testing, including unit and integration testing.
- Familiarity with SQL Server, relational data and basic database troubleshooting.
- Understanding of application security, performance, caching and secure coding practices.
- Familiarity with Optimizely Search & Navigation, Optimizely Graph or similar search platforms.
- Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs and applying common integration patterns.
- Working knowledge of version control using Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Azure or similar cloud hosting environments desirable.

Education and experience:
- Relevant experience (typically 2+ years) in digital platform, software development, or technology consulting roles.
- Demonstrated hands-on support, maintenance or delivery experience with Optimizely CMS or comparable DXP/CMS platforms.
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field desirable.
- Optimizely CMS Developer certification desirable.
